Changes in 1.2.5 (24 October 1999)
• Corrected a bug that caused changes in the calendar not always being stored properly.
• Corrected a bug that caused columns hidden by the Gantt chart still being printed
(inside the Gantt chart).
• Corrected a bug that could cause a hang when adding new columns using the
Columns dialog.
• Added possibility to have fractions of an hour in the base week dialog.
• Added possibility to suppress the time information in the date columns. The time
information will be visible and editable whenever such a column is in focus but
moving out of the column will hide the time information. This new user preference
checkbox can be found in the Columns dialog.
• Corrected a bug that made it impossible to get an activity line drawn in the Gantt chart
without using the mouse and the activity tool.
• Corrected a bug that caused a freeze when displaying the Cost palette and any activity
had an undefined stop date.
Known Bugs
• When printing a time chart with a activity table spanning over two pages, horizontally,
the output is not as beatiful as it should be...
• You cannot make schedules with starting dates prior to 1986.
• Having a schedule spanning over a long period and displaying it with a high
"resolution" (e.g. timescale=days) will cut off some parts of the time schedule.
• When entering the year with only two digits, e.g. 14/12/97 the MacOS rules
are used to determine the century:
If the value of the input year is less than 100, StringToDate determines the year as follows.
1. If (current year) MOD 100 is greater than or equal to 90 and the input year is less than
or equal to 10, the input year is assumed to be in the next century.
2. If (current year) MOD 100 is less than or equal to 10 and the input year is greater than
or equal to 90, the input year is assumed to be in the previous century.
3. Otherwise, the input year is assumed to be in the current century.
If the value of the input year is between 100 and 1000, then 1000 is added to it. Thus the
dates 1/9/87, 1/9/987, and 1/9/1987 are equivalent.

Release History
Changes in 1.2.4 (10 October 1999)
• Corrected a bug which could cause a hang in certain situations when moving focus
(i.e. moving the text cursor) from the work or duration column.
• Corrected some errors related to computing the stop date. Sometimes the stop date
changed depending on which column you moved focus from.
• Corrected yet another problem with scrolling. Sometimes when scrolling the Gantt
diagram horizontally, it wasn't properly updated.
• Corrected a bug which caused only a few lines of an imported file to actually be imported.
• Corrected some other problems related to the import feature.
• General clean-up in how columns affect each other.
Changes in 1.2.3 (15 August 1999)
• Corrected a bug which could cause a hang if the work and start time columns contained
data but the stop time was empty.
• Corrected a bug which caused a crash if one deleted the very last row of the table and
it was a closed summary.
• Corrected a bug that was introduced with 1.2.2; when scrolling horizontally the right
pane was not properly updated.
• Corrected a bug that made collapsed summaries be printed as ordinary activities.
• Corrected a bug that caused activities with no start date not to be printed.
• Made it possible to use decimal values for team member's cost field, i.e. the hourly rate
can now be for example 50.5 USD or 50,75 GBP. (The decimal character is defined in the
Numbers control panel.)
• Added a "Current expenditure" column in the cost palette. The value in this column
corresponds to the Completed column in the activity table. (This column can
enabled/disabled in the preferences dialog.)
• Added a "Current expenditure" column to the Report View. The column can be
enabled/disabled using the ordinary Setup Columns-dialog.
• Added checks for jpeg compression software to be installed before enabling the JPEG
alternative in the export picture dialog.
Changes in 1.2.2 (25 July 1999)
• Changed behaviour of the "RETURN" key. Previously the cursor was moved to the beginning
of the next line (i.e. to the first coulmn of the next line) now it is moved to the row but
stays in the same column.
• Corrected some strange behaviour that occured when an activity was selected and then
the text bursor was positioned in a text field of that row. Previously three mouse clicks
could be necessary to get the text cursor where you wanted it.
• Corrected a bug that caused the text cursor to stay in the same row when RETRUN was hit
and a new row had to be created (i.e. the text cursor was already positioned in the last
row).
• Added automatic scrolling when the textcursor becomes invisible due to moving the cursor
to an activity row that is not visible.
• Fixed quite a few drawing problems.
• Links can now be deleted by selecting them and then press either backspace (delete) or
the forward delete key.
• Horizontal scrolling now works even if all summaries are "closed".
• The View menu now has a checkmark indicating which view that is active.
• Corrected some other obscure problems (writing to NIL etc.)
Changes in 1.2.1 (8 February 1999)
• Corrected computation of work cost.
• Corrected handling of locked stop dates. The stop date will now remain fixed even when
the work column or the responsible column content is modified.
• Changed to a newer (8.5 compatible) version of Mercutio MDEF.
Changes in 1.2 (17 January 1999)
• The right hand pane is now updated (and adjusted) when an activity's start date
is set to a date prior to the current start date of the schedule.
• Removed a big memory leak in the drag-and-drop implementation. After doing
a few drag-and-drops, memory was exhausted causing all kinds of strange errors.
• Corrected a bug that caused messed up activity rows if you dragged a group of
activities and dropped them right below themselves (i.e. no actual move was
performed).
• Corrected a bug that caused the duration column of summaries to be left empty
unless the original start/stop dates had been set.
• Corrected a bug that caused the summary row to have a responsible after converting
an ordinary row into a summary row.
• Corrected a bug that cuased some problems when pasting an ordinary row (i.e. not a
sub-activity) into a summary group.
• Corrected a bug that made adjusted (due to links) activities start 5 pm instead of
moving them to the next day 8 am.
• Corrected a bug that could cause crashes if you entered activity names longer
than 100 characters.
• Added a simple report view where each team member's assignments are listed.
• Added possibility to lock an activity (either start or stop date is locked).
• Made it impossible to paste a row onto a summary header row.
• The Print preview picture is a bit more detailed, including the footer if present and
is correctly scaled.
• And some minor screen updating problems have been fixed.
Changes in 1.1.3 (21 August 1998)
• Corrected a bug that sometimes caused a crash when doing an "Insert row".
• Corrected a bug that caused an erroneous menu item to appear in the help menu.
Changes in 1.1.2 (20 August 1998)
• Corrected a bug that made it impossible to actually turn off the print
option "Fit to page". (The checkbox in the Printer Options dialog was
unchecked but the output on the printer was still scaled to fit the page.)
• Made it possible to select (and delete) a link (between to adjacent activities)
consisting of a single vertical line.
• Corrected a bug that caused some problems with deleted dependency links.
When a dependency link had been deleted it was impossible to add a new link
between the same two activities unless the document was saved in between
the deletion and the creation of a new link.
• Corrected a bug that could cause some spurious crashes (especially when
Navigation Services extension is active).
• Added possibility to clear Original dates for activities.
Changes in 1.1.1 (6 August 1998)
• Corrected some crash bugs related to the date fields.
• Corrected a bug that got ProjectPlanner into an endless loop if entering a
duration of 0 days.
Changes in 1.1 (3 August 1998)
• Corrected some crash bugs related to selecting/deselecting the activity field.
• The Enter key (beside the numerical keypad) is now treated like the return key.
• When the "Completed" tool is selected the completed percentage value is displayed
in the lower left corner.
• The delete key can now be used instead of the Edit->Clear menu commmand to delete
a chart element.
• Corrected the behaviour of some OK buttons in dialogs.
• Corrected the saving of Page Setup settings.
• Corrected a bug that made ProjectPlanner freeze in a never-ending loop when
changing size of a column under certain conditions.
• Made it compatible with CustomMenus.
• Added an "Import data" feature.
• Modified the "Export data..." dialog so that it is possible to choose between exporting
all columns or only visible columns.
• Removed "Not registered" text on printouts.
• Added auto-completion of the responsible text field.
• Shift TAB can now be used to move backwards through the cells in the table.
• Added a new preference option: "auto-optimize activities". If it is enabled, all
linked activities will always be adjusted to produce the shortest possible duration.
• Better screen update of dependency links.
• Added simple HTML output.
• Corrected some problems with computation of work and stopdate when the duration
was changed.
• Changed to a newer version of the Mercutio API. The previous version did cause quite
a few repeatable crashes which now are gone.
• The date in the lower left corner is now updated also when you move or change
duration of an activity. In the case of mving an activity, the new start date is
displayed, and in the case of changing the duration the new stop date is displayed.
• Added support for Navigation Services (PowerPC only).
